Rachel Kelly

Rachel Kelly is an ex-scientist, strategist, business developer, and marketing professional who is passionate about empowering smarter business decisions by deeply understanding human behaviour and leveraging ethical technology. She is obsessed with how technology and humans shape each other and how that relationship builds stronger businesses, communities and countries.

After 9 years in California working for a Fortune 150 biotech company, Rachel returned to New Zealand as a technology and business consultant across telco, energy, food & beverage, high-tech manufacturing, aerospace, ICT, law, public health, consumer technology products, and education. Over the last 5 years in New Zealand, Rachel co-founded CultivateIT, was a founding member of the award-winning Waikato technology start up coHired, was Deputy Chair of NZ Technology Industry Association (NZTech), and is now an Executive Council Member on the New Zealand AI Forum and member of the Law, Ethics and Society Working Group.

As part of Rachel’s mission to reimagine digital trust and tackle AI corruption, she recently founded digital ethics powerhouse, Ethical AI and is now Head of Product at Nyriad, a NZ technology start-up forging trails in exascale supercomputing.

Rachel is often invited to speak on leadership, human-technology partnerships, AI ethics, and innovation. She was featured on TVNZ technology documentary What Next? and has also guided government policy on modernized education and digital equality.
