As part of Techweek TV AI Forum Executive Council Member Glen Willoughby interviewed NASA intern Daniel Wrench about his experience working in the AI and Analytics Division at NASA.
Daniel is studying a PhD in Physics and Data Science at Victoria University of Wellington, looking at data processing of solar wind measurements made by spacecraft. His project at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory involves using a deep learning model to speed up the process of topology optimisation, an algorithm used by engineers to find the best design for some structure.
Glen and Daniel are joined by AI Forum Executive Director Madeline Newman and Wayne Burke , Deputy CTIO and Deputy Div Manager, Artificial Intelligence, Analytics and Innovative Development Org at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
