Tēnā tātou katoa,
Global Responsible AI on 4 May: The AI Forum is partnering with ACM and AI4Diversity as part of their global series promoting Global Responsible AI. This follows the initiative’s highly successful launch in Sydney and connects well with the work that the AI Forum has underway in this space. This is a free event with the discussion focused on Generative AI. You can register here to join in person or online.
May is always a busy month with Techweek and this year AI is well represented – take a look at the wide variety from across Aotearoa from local opportunities to upskill to our interview with New Zealand’s own NASA JPL interns.
Front running Techweek is the first ever 3 day Tomorrow Expo at the newly converted Team NZ America’s Cup Base in Auckland. Contact me here if you haven’t secured a spot yet to see how we can help out members.
Save the Date: Planning for our Summit in September is well underway, with major sponsorship secured from AWS, Google Cloud and Callaghan Innovation it’s going to be exciting! Our Summits are interactive events – more than 25% of last year’s audience had active participation roles and our approval rating of 97% shows just how well that worked. Advanced ticket sales start next month and you can register your interest in participating and attending here.
We have started running our AI Masterclasses, with dates for public events becoming available shortly. These sessions are aimed at helping to bring AI to life for senior decision makers, including a good foundational understanding of what it is, where it’s going, and what the risks are with discussions based around real NZ use cases.
This is backed up by our AI Governance Working Group who are curating a set of frameworks and toolsets for a NZ context and linking those to experts and experienced practitioners.
Ngā mihi mahana
