Tēnā tātou katoa,
Wow! What a month it has been!
We are an inclusive community that encourages our members to participate, and this year’s Summit was marked in its diversity of age, gender, ethnicity and industry.
The theme was AI in Action – and strategically we wanted an event informed and involved people as part of the discussion, rather than being talked to. We achieved that, with more than a quarter of all attendees having an active role in the event, whether that was hosting roundtables, speaking on panels, presenting or winning the first ever TAIAO Award.
There were strong, meaningful discussions about the need to be inclusive, deployment of AI in business across Aotearoa, the possibilities for an AI Strategy for Aotearoa (the AI Forum’s role acknowledged in the Digital Strategy for Aotearoa released on 14 September 2022), and the future focus of technology.
The hybrid event is still going, with video from all the sections available online for those who registered for the event to view until early October. Check your inbox for the email with access details.
Through our combined events we have been directly involved with more than 450 people from well over 120 different organisations from across the entire country in the past month.
We continue this engagement with a series of networking events starting with a Celebration of Taranaki leading the way for practical implementation of AI for the environment. Join us in New Plymouth on 18 October.
We are getting into a regular cadence of monthly events around New Zealand, so keep an eye out for more events happening near you.
Ngā mihi mahana
