AI world comes together at Cogx

#

Kia ora readers,

Greetings from a showery British summertime!

I’ve made the trip over to the other side of the world this week, alongside a few other AI Forum members, to attend the 2019 CogX Festival of AI and Emerging Technology in Kings Cross, London. This is the largest gathering of the global AI community, with an estimated 15,000 attendees, 10 stages and 12 topics including healthcare, infrastructure, finance and economy.

This year’s event is run in partnership with 2030Vision − a new initiative that aims to transform the use of technology through collaborative partnerships and innovative projects in order to support the delivery of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (17 Global Goals) and unlock the commercial opportunities they offer.

You can follow developments from CogX here. I’m looking forward to getting a download on the cutting edge global AI conversations and being able to bring some of these themes back to Aotearoa.
